DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd is expanding and upgrading its
electronic flexible payment platform infrastructure to 14,000 new
customer touch points nationwide.
In a statement today, DiGi said the touch points, effective today, would offer greater convenience to postpaid and prepaid customers in the rural and suburban areas.
DiGi said when it first started offering electronic reloads, the
denomination values were from RM5 to RM100 with increments of RM1.
"Subsequently, the flexi e-load loose change option was launched in 2006, which allowed the prepaid customers to choose a reload value from RM5 to RM100 with increment of five sen," it said.

It said the new flexi e-load system could also support bill payment by postpaid customers.
"It will enable them to make advance or deposit payments and transact outstanding balance payments for terminated accounts via DiGi's network of dealers.
"Postpaid customers can even request for their outstanding bill balance as well as unbilled amount to settle their bills at participating DiGi outlets," it said.
Meanwhile, its head of product development, Chuah Teong Hooi, said with the new system, DiGi would be able to extend its dealership touch points in areas where the expanded customer base has grown.
"It also accords the added advantage to provide simple yet relevant services to our postpaid customers via our extended network of dealers and street vendors," he said. -- Bernama
