DiGi expects 60% of revenue for 2013 from data

KUALA LUMPUR: DiGi.com Bhd expects data to contribute about 60% to its revenue for 2013 with 20% from voice and the remaining 20% from handset sales and other income, according to RHB Research Institute.

The research house said on Tuesday DiGi targeted 5% to 7% revenue growth. At the expected 20% contribution from voice, it said voice might still see growth in 2013.

"Maintain Neutral on DiGi with unchanged discounted cashflow fair value of RM5.10. We believe DiGi's revenue growth momentum is still intact, although margins may potentially come under pressure from handset subsidies. Valuations still look a bit stretched at this juncture, in our view," it said.

RHB Research said it attended an informal group briefing hosted by DiGi with CEO, Henrik Clausen, and CFO, Terje Borge on Monday.

The research house said DiGi while smartphones and of late tablets had been DiGi's main focus to grow data revenue, the management believed there was a viable market in the large screen market.

At 11.21am, DiGi's share price was up one sen to RM4.59. There were 2.54 million shares done at prices ranging from RM4.56 and RM4.59.
